Sanford firefighters brought a fire at a well-known market in Springvale under control late Wednesday night.

Lt. Eric Neubert said the fire at the Mill Street Market on Mill Street was knocked down within about 30 minutes.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke.

No one was injured.

The fire broke out around 10:15 p.m. Neubert said the cause is under investigation.
