WILTON - All proceeds from a day of picking blueberries at the Wilton Blueberry Farm Saturday, Aug. 30 will go the Wilton Free Public Library, according to Jan Collins and Irv Faunce, owners and operators of the farm.
This has become an annual tradition for the Wilton Blueberry Farm and this year's excellent crop will provide a generous contribution to the operation of the library, the owners said.
"Blueberry picking is a great family experience and the library is a 'family place,' so the two experiences go well with each other," Collins said.
The farm is open Saturday from 8 a. m. to 4 p. m.
Staff and volunteers from the library will be availabe for information and updates on the recent renovation at the library that has provided complete access to all library patrons and a new mezzanine area with addtional stack and meeting space.
The Wilton Blueberry Farm is at 83 McLaughlin Road. For information and directions, call Irv Faunce at 645-3764 Ext. 5302
