Police handle thefts, make arrests

IN SKOWHEGAN, Monday at 3:01 p.m., police investigated report of a disturbance on Jackson Street.
11:22 a.m., vandalism was reported on Bigelow Hill Road.

IN ANSON, Monday at 9:03 p.m., police investigated report of a disturbance on Embden Pond Road.

IN ATHENS, Monday at 6:48 p.m., police investigated report of a theft at Maine Wood Pellet Company on Harmony Road.

IN CANAAN, Monday at 7:29 a.m., police investigated report of a disturbance on Browns Corner Road.

IN MADISON, Monday at 12:46 p.m., police responded to a report of threatening on Wedge Street.

9:43 a.m., police went to Mill Pond Store on East Madison Road in response to a report of mischief.


Arrests

IN FAIRFIELD, Tuesday at noon, Edwin Weeks, 46, 41 Ohio Hill Road, Fairfield, arrested on a charge of probation and parole violation.

IN SOMERSET COUNTY, Tuesday at 11:55 a.m., Clark Dunham, 57, Salem Road, Kingfield, arrested on two charges of failure to appear - operating under the influence and two charges of failure to appear - operating after suspension.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Monday at 8:51 p.m., William Wheeler, 27, 132 Middle Road, Skowhegan, arrested on charges of theft Class C and probation hold violation.

IN SANDY RIVER TOWNSHIP, Monday at 8:30 a.m., Donald K. McGeehen, 44, 451 Mercer Street, Florida, arrested on a charge of possession of stolen property, Class B.
