Crash kills Jefferson man

By David Hench Portland Press Herald Staff Writer August 27, 2008 09:55 PM

A Jefferson man was killed Wednesday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Route 32.

Jason W. Jewett, 24, was headed north on Route 32 on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Benjamin P. Arsenault, 26, of Jefferson, was headed south in a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird when he turned left into a driveway intending to make a U-turn, police said.

As the car turned into the driveway, the motorcycle collided with it, throwing Jewett from the motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

There have been no charges and the case remains under investigation.
