SKOWHEGAN -- Police on Wednesday arrested two local men in connection with burglary and theft at Folsom & Sons in which $6,000 worth of tools and a dozen inspection stickers were taken.

Robert Marshall, 22, 1123 Lakewood Road, Madison and Dustin Page, 19, 3 Family Circle, Skowhegan, have been charged with felony burglary and theft as well as a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief , according to police.

Deputy Police Chief Rick Bonneau said concerned citizens provided vital information that led to the arrest of the pair by Officers Kelly Hooper and Don Avery.

Bonneau said Folsom & Son's, located on the Rowe Road in Skowhegan, on Aug. 22 reported a burglary with forced entry in which 12 inspection stickers were reported missing , along with more than $6,000 worth of Snap on tools.

"Some of the stolen tools have been recovered," Bonneau said. He said police will be watchful for the stolen inspection stickers to show up on vehicles during regular traffic stops and other information provided by members of the community.

Displaying a fictitious inspection sticker is a class E misdemeanor and in this case, an additional charge of receiving stolen property would apply, also a class E misdemeanor, Bonneau said. Anyone who may have received one of these stolen inspection stickers is encouraged to contact Officer Hooper immediately in order to avoid criminal prosecution.
