JEFFERSON -- A Jefferson man was killed Wednesday night after the motorcycle he was on collided with a car.
Jason W. Jewett, 24, was headed northbound on Route 32 on his Harley Davidson motorcycle when he struck a southbound 1992 Pontiac Sunbird driven by Benjamin P. Arsenault, a 26-year-old man also from Jefferson, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office officials said.
It occurred at 5:14 p.m.
The collision happened when Arsenault tried to turn left into a driveway and make a U-turn. Jewett, still headed northbound, hit the car as it turned left.
Sheriff's office officials said Jewett was thrown from the motorcycle and killed at the scene of the accident.
Jewett was not wearing a helmet.
Officials are still investigating the collision.
