Longtime coach Bob Leib and four of his former student-athletes will be inducted into the University of Maine at Farmington Athletics Hall of Fame in a ceremony Oct. 25 at the North Dining Hall on campus.

Joining Leib in this year's Hall of Fame class are Jeff Neal and John Ryan, who each graduated in 1991, Gail Sanborn '95 and Rebecca Vaughn Walker '97.

Leib coached baseball, softball and men's and women's soccer at UMF, totaling 816 wins over three decades before retiring from coaching earlier this year.

Neal was a soccer goalie whose 379 saves are second all-time in school history. Ryan, the captain of the 1991 baseball team, is third in UMF pitching in strikeouts (139) and fourth in wins (14) and ERA (3.75).

Sanborn was a three-sport athlete who still holds the single-season batting average record for UMF softball. Walker was also a softball standout, and holds career pitching records in wins, strikeouts and ERA.
