JAY -- A woman walking on a road on the Verso Paper Co. property Friday morning was injured when she was struck by a dump truck.

At 10 a.m., Tina Dolloff, 37, of Jay, an employee of S.W. & B. Construction Co., a firm contracted to do construction work at Verso, was struck by a 1997 Ford dump truck owned by Verso and being operated by employee Paul Despres, 50, of Jay, according to Jay Police Chief Larry White.

Despres was in the process of turning to the right before backing up when the truck hit Dolloff.

The collision injured Dolloff's leg and foot and she was taken by LifeFlight of Maine to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
