POLAND SPRING -- A major fire is burning at this hour at the Jolly Gardener facility on Spring Water road, emergency officials said.

Several buildings and a large mulch pile are on fire, according to an Androscoggin County dispatch operator. Six towns have responded to help fight the fire that broke out at about 2 p.m.

Several excavators have been destroyed, but there are no reports of injuries at this time, the dispatcher said.

Jolly Gardener manufactures soil and mulch products.
