Police are investigating the discovery of a man's body that was found in a riverbed near a parking lot at Grafton Notch State Park in western Maine.
Oxford County Sheriff's Cpl. Justin Brown said wardens were called Monday evening about a vehicle that had been sitting in the same place at the park for several days. When wardens arrived, they found the body of man nearby. He appeared to be about 70 years old.
Brown said the medical examiner's office was called to determine the cause of death, but for now it does not appear suspicious.
The man's name has not been released pending positive identification and notification of relatives.
