WATERVILLE $ Chris Bashaw, who had 16 touchdowns over the
past four seasons as a running back, will be an assistant coach for
the Colby College football team.
Bashaw, the lone captain for the Mules in the 2007 season, will coach
Colby's running backs for head coach Ed Mestieri. Bashaw rushed for
1,848 yards in his collegiate career and also caught 64 balls for 587
yards. He had six touchdowns during his first year at Colby and
helped the Mules to a 6-2 record. Bashaw had a 5.8 per carry average
during his sophomore year and led Colby to a 7-1 record.
