ST. ALBANS -- A 2-month-old child and a 34-year-old woman were injured early Wednesday when a car they were inside smashed into a tree.
Four people were in the green 1994 Ford Taurus when it went off the road around 1 a.m. on Bubar Road, said Lt. Carl Gottardi of the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.
The driver, Tracy Hicks, 34, of Palmyra, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor to be treated for broken bones. The baby boy was taken by LifeFlight to Sebesticook Valley Hospital and then to Eastern Maine Medical Center and was in serious condition.
