Farmington girl is Dairy Princess

CLINTON - Ashlie Hardy of Farmington is the new Miss Maine Dairy Princess.

Judges at the Clinton Lions Club Agricultural Fair chose Hardy, 14, on Thursday night. She succeeds Regan Casey of China as the dairy industry's representative in several statewide and New England functions.

Hardy also won a $1,000 college scholarship.

Runnerup Sarah Richards, 17, of Hermon won a $500 scholarship.

Marcedes Leeman, 13, of Palermo won the junior princess competition and $150 in cash and prices.

The girls will ride Saturday morning in the parade, which begins at 10.
