Junior quarterback Drew Marshall rallied Mt. Ararat in the second half as the Eagles caught Cony, 28-26, in the Pine Tree Conference football opener for both teams.
Marshall scored on a 7-run with 4:57 left and rushed the two-point conversion to give the eagles their first lead of the night. The visiting Rams led 20-6 in the third quarter but were hurt by Nick Dempsey's interception return for a touchdown.
TJ Vallee had a hand in all four of Cony's touchdowns, catching a pass of 35 yards from Nick Lucas for a score as well as rushing for TDs on two short runs. Marc McDonald scored Cony's fourth touchdown on a 19-yard fumble return after Vallee dislodged the ball from Marshall and McDonald picked it off in midair.
