The Maine Outdoor Youth Movie Festival is accepting submissions for short movies about the Maine outdoors, maximum 10 minutes, from residents 19 and under.

Sept. 19 is the deadline for entries.

Contestant should strive to illustrate the importance of the outdoors experience.

Submissions must be in digital format, submitted via YouTube or by DVD. YouTube links should be sent to bwentzell@outdoors.org. DVD submissions should be sent to Bryan Wentzell, Appalachian Mountain Club, 14 Maine St., Box 57, Brunswick, ME 04011.

Winners will be announced and their films shown Oct. 2 at the Governor's Conference on Youth and the Natural World at Augusta Civic Center.
