WAYNE -- Former Town Manager Pam Grimshaw cannot seem to stray very far from town business.

Selectmen plan to appoint Grimshaw, who stepped down as manager in July to work for an Augusta non-profit organization, as town treasurer at their next meeting.

Grimshaw, a lifelong Wayne resident, was the town's bookkeeper before becoming town manager in 2007.

Selectmen will make the appointment on Sept. 16. Grimshaw will take the place of Peter Ault. The following week, a new town manager, Amy Bernard, will become Grimshaw's permanent replacement at town office.
