The Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge will hold a public memorial service 6:45 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Skowhegan Fairgrounds.
Exalted Ruler (lodge president) Julie A. Washburn organized the local event and has invited numerous dignitaries to speak at the services.
The observance will take place in front of the main grandstand.
