Lake George Regional Park, in Canaan and Skowhegan, will celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday Sept. 27.
In order to celebrate the power and impact of service park officials will be organizing projects for groups and individuals, according to the park's Executive Director Jeff McCabe.
"We are honored to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Civilian Conservation Corps and create a national explosion of citizen energy on September 27 around service and public lands," McCabe said in a statement.
He said park officials will be looking for individuals, civic groups and businesses to give time and or materials to complete many projects that will benefit future users of Lake George Regional Park.
Projects may include painting, raking, trail work and more. Contact Jeff McCabe 474-1292 or lakegeorge@tds.net for more information.
