KENNEBUNK # A tractor-trailer overturned in the southbound lanes of the Maine Turnpike late Wednesday night, sending the driver to a local hospital.

A dispatcher for the Maine State Police said an unknown quantity of gasoline leaked onto the highway in the vicinity of mile 23 in Kennebunk. Officials from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection were called to the scene.

Police said the driver, whose name was unavailable, was taken to York Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
