I-295's southbound Exit 22 is closed until Friday night as emergency replacement of the culvert there gets underway. The road sustained heavy damage during the road-eating rains from last month. Detour signs will be placed directing people to Exit 20, the Desert Road exit, until the work is complete.
In Brunswick, the northbound lanes of Route 1 and the Mason Street on-ramp are closed for paving. The work today will be from Mill Street to Cooks Corner and on the Mason Street on-ramp to Route 1 northbound. Traffic delays are expected, especially in the the area of the Mason Street on-ramp to Route 1, which will require the ramp to be closed to all traffic. Detour signs will direct traffic to Route 1 North via Route 24 and Route 196 in Topsham.
