SHAWMUT - Someone stole 150 gallons of diesel and a hand pump from the Shawmut hydroelectric station Wednesday morning, police said.

Deputy Chief Steve Trahan said Thursday that the break-in was reported a 7 a.m. The burglar broke a lock at the gate and drained the fuel from a storage tank, Trahan said.
