Blueberry farm to help heating fund

WILTON -- Blueberry pickers will be able to help the Franklin Ecumenical Heating Fund on the next two Sundays.

Jan Collins and Irv Faunce, owner/operators of the Wilton Blueberry Farm at 83 McLaughlin Road in Wilton, have announced that all proceeds on Sept. 14 and 21will go the Heating Fund that provides emergencyy allocations of fuel to Franklin County residents. The Blueberry Farm is open 8 a. m. to 4 p. m. on Sundays.

The Heating Fund was established several years ago by the Franklin Area Ecumenical Ministry and annually serves nearly 100 households, distributing some $18,000 in funds raised through churches, community events and individual contributions.
