Police have robber's description

By Larry Grard September 12, 2008 03:28 PM

CLINTON - A man who police described as gaunt with stringy black hair allegedly stole money and drugs at gunpoint from a woman Wednesday morning at 1088 Main Street.

Police Chief Charles Runnels said Friday that Sandra Winters, 26, feared for her safety and did not report the crime until Thursday. Winters lives on a second-floor apartment with her young children, Runnels said.

Runnels said that the man, who Winters described as having yellow, wide-spaced teeth and sparse facial hair, knocked on Winters' door at around 9:30.

"He started talking, forced his way in and demanded at gunpoint any drugs and money she had in the house," Runnels said.
