NEWPORT $ Waterville scored two touchdowns and a safety in the second half to take the 15-7 come from behind win at Nokomis on Saturday.

Nolan MacDonnell caught a 31 yard touchdown pass from Kyle Bishop with 11:01 to play to give Waterville (2-0) a 13-7 lead. The Panthers added a safety with 1:29 left when Nokomis quarterback Derek Amoroso was called for intentional grounding in the end zone.

Stanley Prophete had four sacks for Nokomis (0-1).
