LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Atlanta Falcons safety Lawyer Milloy has been arrested on DUI and speeding charges in suburban Atlanta.
Authorities say the 34-year-old player was released from jail Monday morning after posting bond of more than $1,600. He was arrested about five hours earlier. A police spokeswoman did not have details on the arrest.
Milloy is in his 13th NFL season, his third with Atlanta.
The Falcons said coach Mike Smith will comment on the arrest during his news conference later in the day.
Milloy played for the New England Patriots from 1996 to 2002. He was released less than a week before the 2003 season opener, and was quickly signed by the Buffalo Bills.
