City officials unveiled three proposals for Portland's new skate park late this morning.
The Portland Skatepark Planning Committee is in the middle of a fundraising campaign for a new $325,000 skateboard park at Dougherty Field off Douglass Street. The committee has raised more than $150,000 for the park.
The committee reached an agreement last month with a Kennebunkport design company called Who Skates? to create a concept for a new park.
The committee released three proposals this morning at a press conference at City Hall. Members expect to have a design selected by later this month and plan to establish a Web site where skaters may vote on their favorite proposal.
