AUGUSTA -- More than 100 people lined the Statehouse steps today to call on those running for office to remember the needs of children.
Step Up for Kids Day in Maine, part of a national effort sponsored by Every Child Matters, a nonpartisan nonprofit, featured speakers who urged presidential and Congressional candidates to make children a high priority.
"The needs of children should be a front-burner issue," said Maine Attorney General Steven Rowe.
