WINSLOW -- After playing defense most of the second half, Mt. View got a breakaway and came through on Alonia Horton's goal with 1:22 left as Mt. View defeated Winslow, 1-0, in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B field hockey action Saturday morning.

As it did in its other loss this season, to Nokomis, Winslow (3-2) had the clear edge in statistics. The Black Raiders had an 8-4 edge in shots and a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners.

With the win, Mt. View improved to 5-1.
