Vigil to remember domestic violence victims

By David Hench Portland Press Herald Staff Writer September 30, 2008 02:00 PM

Caring Unlimited, which provides support for victims of domestic violence in York County, plans to hold a candlelight vigil in Sanford Wednesday to memorialize victims of domestic violence homicide.

The event, to be held at 6 p.m. in Sanford's Central park, kicks off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In addition to recalling the memories of victims who have died, the event also celebrates the strength and courage of survivors of domestic abuse who have moved on from past abuse.
