Standish businesses and residents are pitching in this weekend to raise money for the town's fuel assistance fund.

Coldwell Banker Friends and Neighbors Realty at 47 Ossipee Trail is hosting a mega yard sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items donated by residents will be sold and all proceeds will be donated to the town fund, which was set up this fall to help needy residents pay for heating oil this winter.

Donations of merchandise for the sale are still being accepted. Several area businesses also have already donated a total of $500 for the fund.
