PROSPECT -- Police and search teams are continuing in their effort today to locate the body of a boy who is believed to have jumped from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge near Bucksport on Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, the boy, a 14-year-old freshman at Searsport High School, leaped from the bridge at around 3 p.m. Tuesday. The search was suspended at 7, and resumed this morning.

The Waldo County Sheriff's Department, the Coast Guard, the Maine State Police dive team and the Maine Marine Patrol are among those searching.
