Fires, animal cruelty in Somerset County

IN ANSON, Wednesday at 11:23 a.m., county deputies were sent to Carrabec high School and later to Fahi Pond Road for an investigation.

IN ATHENS, Wednesday at 8:51 p.m., a fire was extinguished at the pellet mill on Route 150.

IN FAIRFIELD, Wednesday at 10:46 p.m., a motor vehicle accident on Skowhegan Road sent someone to the hospital.

1:34 p.m., a structure fire was investigated on Green Road.

IN HARTLAND, Wednesday at 8:49 a.m., a case of reported animal cruelty was handled on Ripley Road.

IN MADISON, Thursday at 12:50 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Wedge Street.

IN NORRIDGEWOCK, Wednesday at 8:57 p.m., suspicious activity was reported on Hatto Farm Road.

12:10 p.m., a harassment complaint was investigated on the Norridgewock bridge.

IN PITTSFIELD, Thursday at 12:43 a.m., a report of disturbance was investigated on F Street.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Wednesday at 10:17 p.m., a disturbance was investigated at Southside Tavern on Waterville Road.

6:51 p.m., an assault was reported, involving two men fighting, at Bloomfield's Cafe.

4:27 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was investigated on Canaan Road.

12:10 p.m., a burglary was investigated on Turner Avenue.
