Portland Police said a 3-year-old boy found wandering on Cumberland Avenue at 2:30 this morning was returned to his mother.

Police said the boy lives on Chestnut Street. He was found wearing nothing but a diaper about a block away from his home.

Police were able to determine where he lived, and returned him to his apartment.

No one was charged, police said, and the case was referred to the state Department of Health and Human Services for follow-up.
