U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., will join the Maine Democratic Party for a fundraiser Thursday to mark the third anniversary of the Maine Won't Discriminate campaign.
Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, has been deeply involved in congressional action on the Wall Street credit crisis.
He is also known as a strong proponent of civil rights, especially gay and lesbian issues.

The Maine Won't Discriminate campaign was a coalition that successfully defended the state's gay rights law in a 2005 referendum.
