HARRISON -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has not yet released the name of the elderly woman killed during a car crash in Harrison yesterday afternoon.

Police have not identified the woman as of this morning. However, they give these details: The two-car collision happened at 2 p.m. on Route 117, near the area of Crystal Lake Park. A Subaru Legacy with two occupants was heading south when it apparently crossed the center line hitting a Chevrolet Equinox driven in the opposite direction.

The Subaru's occupants had to be extricated and the passenger was pronounced dead on arrival at Stephens Memorial Hospital. The driver, an elderly man, was transferred to Central Maine Medical Center with serious internal injuries.

The woman who was driving the Chevy was taken to Bridgton Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
