HARRISON -- Police today released the identity of the woman killed in a car crash in Harrison Thursday and two other people injured in the crash.
The crash, which occurred at about 2 p.m. on Route 117, killed Betty Richardson, 85, of Waterford, who was a passenger in a Subaru driven by her husband James Richardson, 85, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said. James Richardson is in the intensive care unit at Central Maine Medical Center with serious internal injuries.
The driver of the other car, a Chevrolet Equinox, was Eloise Taylor, 88, of Harrison. Taylor also is in the intensive care unit at Central Maine Medical Center.
The cars were headed in opposite directions on Route 117 when the Subaru apparently crossed the center line into the path of the Chevrolet, the sheriff's office said.
