AUGUSTA -- An Augusta man faces extradition to California after being arrested on Crosby Street Monday afternoon.
Gabriel Lang, 26, is being held at the Kennebec County jail after being arrested on a California warrant charging Lang with being a fugitive from justice, Augusta police Sgt. Chris Massey said.
The warrant stems from drug-related charges, Massey said.
Augusta police also charged Lang with operating after suspension and illegal attachment of false license plates after he was arrested following a routine traffic stop shortly after 1 p.m.
California police have indicated they will travel to Maine to retrieve Lang, Massey said.
