BUXTON - The town clerk's office will remain open this Saturday for the purpose of distributing absentee ballots and to register voters for the Nov. 4 presidential election.

Town Clerk John Myers said voters may obtain absentee ballot applications from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the town hall, which is located at 185 Portland Road.

Myers said the town of Buxton is also one of several municipalities accepting applications via e-mail. For more information contact the town clerk's office at 929-6171 or at his home, 929-5806.

Myers said he expects the turnout to surpass prior elections.
