Florida man sentenced to 76 months on drug charges

BANGOR - Pedro Julio Rosario, 49, of Groveland Park, Fla., was sentenced Monday to 76 months in prison for dealing drugs in the Bangor area, according to United States Attorney Paula D. Silsby.

In addition to the prison time, Rosario, who is also known as "Justino Soto," was sentenced to five years of supervised release for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base.

Rosario's co-defendant, Roberto Rodriguez, pleaded guilty in March. Rosario and Rodriguez drove from Providence, R.I., to distribute the drugs in Brewer.

Silsby praised the investigation conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Brewer Police Department.
