OAKLAND $ Skowhegan Area High School won its eighth consecutive Eastern Maine Class A field hockey crown, with a 2-0 win over top-ranked Messalonskee on Wednesday.
Kylie Damon scored a first half goal for the Indians, with an assist from Makayla Hancock. Elizabeth Noddin added an insurance goal late in the second half.
Skowhegan will play Scarborough in the state championship game, Saturday at noon at Hampden Academy. The Indians will be playing for their eighth straight state championship.
