HALLOWELL -- Poll workers are still counting ballots at Hall-Dale Elementary School, Hallowell Mayor Anthony Masciadri said Tuesday night.

"A machine backed up on us around 8 p.m., so we're running a little behind," Masciadri said. "But we're still moving right along.

The mayor added workers are also counting "a lot" of write-ins.

A write-in candidate was required for a six-month position on the current Hall-Dale school board. Papers for the position were not filed by any potential candidates before the deadline in September.
