BOWDOINHAM -- More than three quarters of voters in this town turned out to vote Tuesday. Residents were voting on State Senate and House seats and County Commissioner and Sheriff posts.

Incumbent Rep. Seth Berry, D-Bowdoinham, took 72 percent of the town's votes cast in the House District 67 race. Berry was running against Richmond Republican Eric Dickey.

In the Senate District 19 race, challenger Seth Goodall, a Richmond Democrat, won nearly 63 percent of Bowdoinham's vote in his race against Sen. Paula Benoit, R-Phippsburg.

The race for county sheriff was tight in this town. West Bath Democrat Joel Merry claimed 872 votes to Topsham Republican Brett Strout's 866 votes.

The race for county commissioner -- between Woolwich residents Carol Grose and Daniel Daggett -- was also tight. Grose claimed 884 votes to Daggett's 837.
