Incumbents and newcomers won Gorham races to fill two seats on the Town Council and three seats on the School Committee on Tuesday.
Michael Phinney, 41, a 12-year council member who is vice president of Phinney Lumber, was re-elected with 4,506 votes. Noah Miner, 33, a former General Electric engineer who is a stay-at-home dad, took the other open council seat with 3,142 votes.
The two other candidates in the four-way council race were Jody Thomas, 55, a longtime police officer and emergency medical technician, who received 3,127 votes; and Matthew Mattingly, 41, owner of the PineCrest Inn on South Street, who received 2,659 votes.
On the School Committee, Dennis Libby, 41, a self-employed carpenter and stay-at-home dad who has been on the committee for three years, was re-elected with 4,557 votes.
Katherine Garrard, 47, a public relations associate, took the second open committee seat with 4,773 votes. Polly Shields, 41, a business analyst at Unum, took the third open committee seat with 4,102 votes.
The other candidate in the four-way race for three committee seats was William Benzing, 37, an oral surgeon, who received 2,697 votes.
