SOUTH PORTLAND -- OEST Associates Inc., a South Portland-based engineering and architecture firm, has been acquired by AMEC - an international engineering and project management company.

The acquisition, which was announced today, will impact more than 100 OEST employees. OEST, which is headquartered at 343 Gorham Road, also operates a satellite office near Orlando, Fla.

AMEC's Earth and Environmental Division operates from 130 offices in the United States, Canada and around the world. It provides a broad range of services to public and private clients.
