Mariam Qazi scored in the fifth minute to spark Waynflete to a 4-1 victory over Orono in the Class C girls soccer state championship game Saturday morning at Hampden Academy.

Morgan Woodhouse and Mariah Monks also scored to give the Flyers a 3-0 halftime lead. Sasha Timpson completed the scoring for Waynflete, which won its fifth Class D title in 2004 but was making its first appearance in the Class C title game.
