SIDNEY -- A Rangley woman is dead after a head-on collision today near the intersection of Middle and Reynolds Hills roads.
State Trooper Diane Vance said Julie Maloy, 38, of Rangley was announced dead at the scene.
Vance said Maloy was headed north on the Middle Road in Sidney when her 1992 Dodge pickup truck veered into the other lane and struck a 2006 Toyota Scion driven by Ginger St. Pierre, 37, of Sidney.
St. Pierre suffered minor injuries, her airbag deployed, and was treated at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville.
The call came in at about 4 p.m.
Vance said alcohol and speed are a factor in the crash.
"Maloy was thrown from the vehicle," Vance said. "She wasn't wearing a seatbelt."
The crash is under investigation.
