Waterville Senior High School graduate Kristin Tormollan, a freshman at Franklin Pierce University, has been named the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year.
Tormollan helped lead Franklin Pierce to its first playoff appearance since 2001. She held opponents to 2.13 goals per game and stopped 126 shots for a .746 save percentage. In addition, Tormollan was named to the all-Northeast-10 first team and all-rookie team.
Tormollan played all but 5 minutes, 35 seconds in goal for Franklin Pierce during her rookie season and finished with a 7-13-0 record.
She had a pair of shutouts and twice made more than 10 saves in a game. She set the single-season school record for minutes played 1,414), games played (20) and games started (20).
