ST. ALBANS -- The town government has received a $1,332 Safety Enhancement Grant from the Maine Municipal Association.

The grant program offers money to purchase safety equipment or services that assist in reducing workplace injuries.

The program received 106 applications this year and $98,809 was awarded to towns, said Ed MacDonald, loss control manager for the Maine Municipal Association. Grants are awarded in May and October each year.
