AUGUSTA -- The Pizza Huts of Maine will be honored today for their involvement in getting the word out about Maine's A Family for ME.
The restaurants in Maine collaborated with A Family for ME and displayed over 300 photographs of children needing families, called the Heart Gallery.
As a result, 43 children were placed with adoptive families in the past year.
The celebration today gets underway at 10 a.m. It is well-timed, as November is National Adoption Awareness Month. Special recognition will be given to Capital Pizza Huts Vice President Fred Saul, who made possible Heart Gallery photograph collections in each Pizza Hut of Maine.
