Vandalism keeps police busy

IN ANSON, Tuesday at 6:19 p.m., police responded to a complaint on New Portland Road. Arrests were made.

IN LEXINGTON, Tuesday at 3:18 p.m., police investigated a complaint of criminal mischief on Long Falls Dam Road.

IN PITTSFIELD, Tuesday at 3:13 p.m., a caller reported an accident on the Sibley Pond Bridge on Canaan Road. Occupants were taken to the hospital. More information unavailable.

1:42 p.m., police investigated a report of vandalism at the Citgo station on Somerset Avenue.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Tuesday a 2:23 p.m., police investigated a report of theft at the Family Dollar Store on Main Street.

2:41 p.m., police investigated a report of vandalism at the Dairy Treat on Island Avenue.

2:27 p.m., a caller reported mischief done on Dr. Mann Road. Police investigated.

8:54 a.m. police investigated a report of vandalism behind the church in Memorial Park on Weston Street.

IN SMITHFIELD, Tuesday at 7:08 a.m., police investigated report of an abandoned motor vehicle, a 4-door Toyota, on East Pond Road.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Tuesday at 11:03 a.m., firefighters responded to report of a chimney fire on Parkman Hill Road. Turned out to be a very hot stove.
